Attended a primary school assembly recently. Multiple children wearing noise cancelling headphones, disruptive kids being handed fidget/sensory toys by teachers. Hovering lanyard wearers for almost every class (NDIS therapists of some kind). It’s unbelievable. This is a mainstream above-average performing public school.
It usually comes from the school who can get funding and support. Teacher will suggest a diagnostic assessment w counsellor which leads to paediatrician
Is reform possible or do we need a revolution?
